COUBIC (Ak.mal. Ivana Kubíková)
She was born in Děčín in 1963. She spent her student years in Prague, Paris and Roquefort des Corbiéres. She is known mainly in France, where she studied and later taught at the School of Fine Arts (Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts – ENSBA in Paris). She graduated from the Prague "Hollarka", the University of Arts and Crafts in the studio of illustration and applied graphics with Jiří Mikula and Jiří Šalamoun in Prague.
She won prestigious awards:
Atelierova for illustrations at VŠUP, Arne Sáňka "On the most beautiful Czech and Slovak book" in the Memorial of National Literature in Prague and the Alois Senefelder Prize in the international competition in original lithography in Offenbach am Main (Germany).
In 2017, she received an award from the city of Roudnice n.L for representation abroad.
It is represented in the collections of the National Library in Paris, the Librairie Lefebvre in Orleans (France), the A. Senefelder Museum in Offenbach am Main (Germany), the Memorial of National Literature in Prague (Czech Republic), the Lithographic Art Center in Sigharting (Austria).
She currently lives and works in Roudnice nad Labem, where she founded a lithography center with a gallery in 2000-2013, supporting original lithography and young artists. He is dedicated to free and applied creation.
